I am Anna Magnusson. A 31-year-old Swede from Stockholm, who has spent the last seven years in Sydney. My communications degree and digital design education, work experience in the corporate design and branding industry have taught me a lot marketing, various kinds of design and the creative process.

Why I do what I do
My passion for creation and creativity has always been with me.
Lots of people dream of a career in the creative industries, but not many do anything about it.
I was one of them until I changed my career path five years ago. And I am greatful for that since I'm now doing my dream job that allows for a lot of fun, learning, flexibility, and positivity, and is just very stimulating and giving for me.
I love the fact that every day can be different, with each new brief throwing up a new creative challenge to be solved. But might as well be fiddly text handling in which I loose myself in the details, which I can find just as amusing.
Problem-solving is an important skill, as the aim is to work out the best ways to communicate important messages in visual form. With my digital design degree and my bachelor's in communications, I can combine my knowledge and hopefully create something powerful that can change the situation for brands, companies, or individuals for the better.
Finally, the design gives me a real sense of satisfaction. It involves creating something, going through a process to produce something tangible,  rather than just getting buried in reports and paperwork.

Work experience
I have work experience in various industries- from retail and hospitality to the media and branding/design industry. All my roles have been customer service heavy and have therefore really sharpened those skills for me, as well as my ability to work in a team and under high speed and with strict deadlines.

Currently working as a Creative Designer at Unilever. In my role, I've held responsibility for managing and taking on board any incoming projects in our team. Planning, briefing, and liaising with the various teams within the organization, as well as in my own team.
For the time being I'm focusing more on design and I work cross-category with most Unilever brands for the nordic counties. I work with the production of digital assets, including motion graphics, Social Media content, banners. But I also work with  print and packaging design.

In previous roles as a client associate, I had to be versed in solving problems and acting as a liaison between the client and the management team.
Working to assist global clients such as e.g. P&G. Always ready to give the best service and deliveries, through agile customer management. Daily tasks included briefing the design and strategy team, quoting, general client service and meetings, tracking project budgets, delivering client files and artworks, tracking project timelines, and working on proposals.

At Tonic health media work entailed assisting client management through
client-service and administrative responsibilities. These tasks include assisting
in internal and client WIPs, quoting, booking campaigns, assisting with marketing and events, preparing and deliver- ing client documents, and conducting campaign reports and presentations.

Sometimes, if an exciting project comes along I do some freelancing as well.
